LIST OF FORMS TAUGHT AT THE CENTER

These are the forms taught at the Praying Mantis-Tai Chi Center. The Tai Chi Yang Style long form Toi Sao (push hands se3nsitivity exercises) and Sahn Sao  (Self Defense Applications) was taught to Director/Chief Instructor Marlon Pilossoph by Master Tony Chuy and are of the Yang Luchan style. The forms of the Northern Praying Mantis branch are of the Wong, Hon-Funn lineage and were passed down to Mr. Pilossoph by Master Tony Chuy who learned from the late Master Brendan Lai, Master Yuen, Man-Gai and Master So, Siu-Ming. Forms from the Tai Chi Praying Mantis branch were taught to Mr. Pilossoph by Master Tony Chuy who learned from the late Master Chiu, Chuk-Kai and Master Alexander Tse.  All of these forms are traditional forms and have been preserved and personally passed down from generation to generation for almost 400 years.

The School Forms have been divided into the following four categories:

1)               EMPTY HAND FORMS

2)               WEAPONS FORMS

3)               EMPTY-HAND SPARRING FORMS

4)               WEAPONS SPARRING FORMS

Note: All form names are in the Cantonese pronunciation.
